Read onThe weaving of bamboo, seagrass, rush, and rattan —for decorative items and other uses—has been done throughout Southeast Asia for centuries. In Vietnam, farmers and their families would know how to weave items they needed, or tools for fishing or agriculture. Today, weaving is a skill and a profession in its own right, providing jobs for hundreds of thousands of artisans throughout the country—artisans like the ones who craft our Kash woven pendant lights. Each woven pendant is made from all-natural rattan-wrapped seagrass, entirely by hand.
